Mr. Scruggs is the Director of Mays Business School’s Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship at Texas A&M University.  In addition to his A&M role, he is a principal with Winston Sage Partners, a management consulting company.

Prior to starting Winston Sage, he spent over 20 years in the systems integration business. 

He was the founder, CEO and Chairman of Align Solutions Corp. one of the first Internet professional services firms.  In 1999 Align was recognized as the fastest growing private company in the Houston area and Mr. Scruggs was honored as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year.  Align Solutions was bought by Luminant Worldwide Corporation in September 1999 and Mr. Scruggs helped take the company public.  He served as Vice-Chairman and Executive Vice President of Luminant for two years. 

Prior to his Align Solutions and Luminant experience he worked with Andersen Consulting, BSG Alliance/IT and Perot Systems. 

Mr. Scruggs has experience in all aspects of business operations including executive leadership, sales, marketing, mergers and acquisitions, investor relations and client service. 

He currently serves on the Houston Technology Center Advisory Board and the board of the Houston Angel Network.  He is the 2006 president of the Houston Angel Network.  He also serves on the board or advisory board of several local private companies. 

Mr. Scruggs holds a BS in Chemical Engineering (1977) and a Masters of Business Administration (1979) from Texas A&M University.

Rondalyn Baker graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in 1983 and Summa Cum Laude with her Masters of Professional Accountancy in 1984 from Louisiana Tech University.  

Her initial experience was with a national accounting firm in the audit department, followed by several years as an Assistant Controller for a subsidiary of an engineering firm based in Germany.  After working three years in the tax department with the largest local firm in Houston and balancing a divorce, the responsibilities of two small children and auditing responsibilities outside the tax department, she was promoted to tax manager.  She has been a shareholder with Moore, Reichl and Baker, P. C. since 2003.    Current areas of practice include tax preparation and planning services as well as audit and accounting services.  She enjoys working with individuals and businesses, assisting them with their accounting and tax needs as well as ongoing issues as their incomes or businesses grow, such as obtaining financing, entity selection, estate planning and business succession planning.
